Our Process

Place an order

Choose a keyword package, tell us your niche, any special requests you have, and your website so we can avoid providing keywords you've already targeted.

We research

Our team will find keywords according to your specifications, that your site actually stands a good chance at ranking for, and that show definite traffic potential.

Keyword delivery

Once we finish finding and vetting the keywords, we'll send them (along with useful details - see below) in an Excel spreadsheet to the email listed in your order.

Each keyword is accompanied by details that you'll actually benefit from knowing.

Testimonials

I’ve recently been in need of additional keyword research help, and have tested out over a dozen different SEO freelancers and services.

[Curated Keywords] has managed to find keyword gold repeatedly, and very fast.

“Finally someone who gets keyword research…

…Order number one was great. I ordered five more. I’ll order more in the future.”

Thanks for the keyword research! The first term on a brand new site stayed ranking consistently enough to get a burst of traffic today! Exciting stuff!

Sonu D.

I am new to the world of SEO and keyword research. Working with Curated Keywords helped resolve my biggest issue – finding good KWs which would help my site to rank well. The service provided KWs in themes that I traditionally would not have considered and that was very useful. Articles written on these topics quickly rose the rankings ladder and generated good traffic for the site. We’re happy with the service and will be using it repeatedly!

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ll do keyword research for any innocent, non-controversial, G-rated niches. If your niche doesn’t objectively fall into all three of those categories, chances are we won’t accept it. But feel free to send an email if you’re unsure!

Note: some niches that may be less obvious that we don’t deal with are games of chance and religion/spirituality.

No. Imagine if a client ordered 10 keywords in the “pet” niche. Then we’d be stuck, unable to provide “pet” niche keywords to anyone else, or to continue building our own pet niche sites.

With that said, we’ll do our best to make sure clients receive unique keywords. We just can’t guarantee it. So if you and another client both received the same keyword, you’ll just have to battle it out in the game of SEO 🙂

We only provide English-language keywords at this time.

We primarily use the Keyword Surfer extension, but may use Ahrefs or other tools from time to time.

If you don’t specify a search volume range in your order, we may provide some ZSV keywords. But there’s a good reason for this. We all know search volume estimates are just that – estimates. They serve as a good guide, but cannot be relied on. Some tools say a certain keyword has zero estimated search volume, when in reality the traffic you would get from that keyword is hundreds or thousands per month.

Keyword breadth is one reason why this is the case. If there’s a ton of ways of asking the same question, you only need to write a single article answering that question in order to rank for all the keyword variations. Perhaps each variation has low search volume, but added up, the search volume is quite high.

If you ignore ZSV keywords, you could be leaving serious money on the table.

With all that said, we only provide ZSV keywords if we’ve fully vetted them and are confident they can bring in some traffic.

Yes! On the order page, there is a field titled “Your website” where you can paste the URL to your site. We can then take a look at your sitemap to see what keywords you’re already targeting, and then make sure to only provide keywords you haven’t already targeted.

Sharing your URL is optional. However, if you don’t share it, we have no way to know what keywords you’ve already targeted so we may provide you with duplicates.

Of course! Just specify your silo/cluster in either the Special Requests or Order Notes field on the checkout form.

If your niche or content “silo” is extremely specific, we’d suggest ordering our smallest package; 10 keywords.

While we pride ourselves on being able to find lots of good keywords no matter what niche, some niches are incredibly narrow and there literally aren’t more than a dozen or so keywords.

If you want to order more and take advantage of the bulk discount, feel free to email hello@curatedkeywords.com and tell us your niche before placing an order. We can do some quick research to determine how many unique, worthwhile keywords there are and advise you on what package would be best for you.

Nope, sorry, but hopefully you can understand. Our work is time-consuming, digital, and intangible. Not to mention, you can’t really judge a keyword’s value until you have a first page ranking for it, which could take quite a while.

We’ll deliver keywords to the email listed on your order. The keywords will be attached as an Excel spreadsheet.

Est. Search Volume – estimated monthly search volume for the keyword according to the Keyword Surfer (or in some cases Ahrefs) browser extension.

UGC Results on First Page – how many user generated content sites (like Quora, Reddit, StackExchange, forums, etc) rank on the first page for the keyword. These are oftentimes easy to beat with a solid article on the topic, even with a new website.

Lowest DA on First Page – the Moz Domain Authority (DA) of the site with the lowest DA ranking on the first page.

Search Intent – if you were to search that keyword as a normal user, would the results be satisfactory? If so, search intent is matched. If none of the results answer the question/cover the topic satisfactorily, the search intent is unmatched. If only a few are satisfactory but the others don’t match the intent, it’s partially matched. It is typically very easy to rank a well-done article for partially matched and unmatched intent keywords.

SERP Feature at Top – this is anything shown at the top of the results such as a featured snippet, a video, an image carousel, a calculator, etc.

Disclaimers:

  • We supply quality keywords, but can make no guarantees that you will rank for them. That part’s up to you and your SEO prowess. There are so many variables when it comes to how well your content ranks. Your site’s authority within the niche, the content quality, backlinks, etc. Those things are more important than the keyword you target, and they are entirely in your control – not ours.

  • Google’s SERPs change all the time, so while the metrics we provide for each keyword were accurate at the time of our research, Google may show different results by the time you review them.
